- Started public life in 1975 as President of Ratnal Navyuvak jagruti Mandal.(Ratnal youth awareness society) Remained president till 1980.
- Elected as Sarpanch (unopposed) of Ratnal Gram Panchayat. Remained Sarpanch for a continuous four terms. i.e. for nineteen years. (from 1980 to 1999)
- During his tenure as Sarpanch, Ratnal gram panchayat – the gram panchayat won the “ Best gram panchayat ‘ award twice. i.e. 1983,1984.
- Served as President of Kutch District Ahir (Yadav) Mandal for 13 years.(from 1983 to 1995)
- Served as Vice- President of Kutch District B.J.P.for 3 years.( From 1993 to 1995)
- Served as Vice-President of Kutch District Truck Owners Association for 4 years.( from 1990 to 1993)
- Served as Taluka – President, B.J.P. for 7 years. ( from 1987 to 1993)
- Served as President - District Truck owners Association for consecutive five terms. (from 1995 to 2005)
- Served as Vice-President of Gujarat State Truck Owners Association for 3 consecutive terms. (from 1995 to 2005)
- Presently serving as Acting President of akhil Gujarat Vidhyut Kamdar Sangh, Gujarat since 2003 .( second consecutive term)
- Presently serving as member of D.R.U.C.C. ; Western Railway- Ahmedabad Division for a second consecutive term. 1st term was from 01-08-2004 to 31-07-2006 and 2nd term is from 01-08-2007 to 31-07-2009. This appointment was made by Railway Board, New Delhi.
- Presently serving as Director-Anjar Agriculture produce Marketing committee .
- Recently elected as President Akhil Gujarat Truck Transport Association.
- Presently serving as the Vice-President Akhil Gujarat Ahir (Yadav) Samaj (from 2006)

| In addition to the details mentioned above the Anjar constituency does has five main cities within its limits i.e. Anjar Adipur Gandhidham Bhachau & Kandla Port. |
- During 1995 I was victorious over the congress candidate the then law Minister Mr.Naveen Shastri by a margin of 37000 votes
- During 1998 I was victorious over congress Heavy-Weight Mrs. Neemaben Acharya by a margin of 7000 votes as M.L.A. Anjar Constituency
- During 2007 I was victorious over congress Heavy-Weight Mr. Shivjibhai Ahir by a margin of 21582 votes as M.L.A. Bhuj Constituency
- Date 4-1-2008 Minister of State for Welfare of Socially and Educationally Backward Classes.

I have been recipient of best Gram Panchayat Award from 1983 to 1984 for the period as sarpanch.
- Best Citizen of India Award for the year 2002 from international publishing House New Delhi.
- M.L.A. of the millennium Award on 31st July, 2002 for achievement & contribution in the field of politics.
- Vikas Rattan Award on 11th Nov.2003 for outstanding services achievement and contribution in the field of politics & social work.
