  • Ooganised 'Ekata Yatra' of Bharatiya Janta Party from Kanyakumari to Shrinagar in 1992 when the terrorists threatend the people in Kashmir against hoisting the national flag. In such difficult situation, Joined the rally as the only leader.
  • The only woman leader ot unfurl the national tri-colour at Lalchawk in Shrinagar on 26th January, 1992 in extremely volatile situation.

  • As an active member of Rajyasabha during 1994 to 1998, raised core-issues of Gujarat in the house.

  • Glorious contribution as a cabinet Minister of Education and women and child welfare Department of Gujarat state after getting overwhelming victory with smashing majority from Mandal constistuency in the election for Legislative Assembly in 1998.
  • Glorious contribution as a cabinet Minister of Education, Higher and Techincal Education, Women and child Welfare, Sprots, Youth and cultural Activities Department of Gujarat state after winning with thumping majority form Patan Constituency in the election of Legislative Assembly in 2002.
  • Contributing as Cabinet Minister of Revenue, Disaster Management, Roads and Buildings, Capital Project, Women and child welfare Department after getting victory with overwhelming mejority form Patan constituency in the election of Legislative Assmebly, 2007.

  • Participated in the Fourth World women's Conference at Bejing (China) in 1994-95 as a representative of India, being a member of the Rajya Sabha.
