Completed Commerce graduation and Law.
Enrolled as an Advocate with the Gujarat State Bar Council on 13.7.1976 and started practice at Nadiad.
Was panel advocate for 3 Insurance Companies and 3 Nationalized Banks while in practice.
Was also Assistant Govt. Pleader, Additional Public Prosecutor and Notary Public for the District.
Rendered services as Part-time Lecturer in B. J. Commerce College at Vallabh Vidyanagar, and I. V. Commerce College at Nadiad for number of years and also in B & S Law College at Nadiad.
Joined Judiciary, directly in the cadre of District Judge, and was Appointed as Assistant Judge on 2.9.1988. Promoted as Joint District Judge on 27.4.1989 and as District Judge on 3.9.1990.
Was nominated in the first team of Judicial Officers for a study tour to England on Gender and Law in the year 1996 for six weeks.
Elevated to the Bench of Gujarat High Court as Additional Judge on 11.12.1997 and confirmed as Permanent Judge on 6.9.1999.
Due to retire on 5.12.2012.
Appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court on 13th September 2011.
